Marketing Intern

Job description:

MediaMate LLC is a collegiate media management company based in Andover, MA.  We work with regional and national businesses across the country wishing to target the ever-elusive 18-24 year-old demographic through student media and event sponsorships.  We are looking for a driven intern with a passion for marketing to join our internship program! As a marketing intern you will play an important role within the organization and will actively provide day-to-day support for one or more teams.

Summary:

Responsible for working directly with Marketing Manager to assist Account & Advertising management teams in day-to-day efforts to promote various campaigns for our clients and assisting with special projects as needed. This internship is 15-20 hour per week with hourly compensation.

 Responsibilities:      

  • Assists with researching business decision makers for new advertising opportunities

  • Helps to prepare timely and accurate reports

  • Prepares for internal and client meetings, prints, organizes, and coordinates meeting materials

  • Contributes to email marketing initiatives

  • Maintains and updates CRM system with up to date and accurate information

  • Assist with market research projects as needed

  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance at all job functions

  Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of advertising or marketing industry

  • Professional, positive, and eager to learn

  • Comfortable making phone calls and speaking with decision makers on the phone

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (specifically: Excel) and Google Suite

  • Ability to create, organize, and maintain accurate and detailed records

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and via e-mail

  • Open and willing to work on a variety of projects and daily tasks

  • Preferred: Previous internship experience in an office setting

  • Available 15-20 hours per week
